On September 9, 2025, the Belt & Road and BRICS Auditorium of Skills Development and Technology Innovation and 18th Asian Welding Technology and Its Application Forum – International Seminar on Welding Technologies Development and Technical Skilled Talents Cultivation were successfully held in Weifang, Shandong Province. A total of 17 experts from China, Singapore, India, Mongolia, Spain, Ukraine, Senegal and other countries were invited to share wonderful reports at the conference. More than 400 scholars, technicians, teachers and students in the field of welding and inspection participated in the conference both online and offline.
The meeting aimed to introduce advanced welding technology skills and intelligent manufacturing technologies, explore the promoting effect of intelligent welding on new quality productivity, and share the best cases and successful experiences in welding education and training as well as the cultivation of technical and skilled talents. The main content includes four sections: empowerment of “vocational education going global”, sharing of experiences in cultivating technical and skilled talents, exchange of research and application achievements of advanced technologies, and exchange of outstanding papers on welding technology.
