The journey of Kampuh Indonesia began in 2015 as a training and human resource development institution specializing in welding and the shipbuilding industry in Indonesia. Established to address the growing demand for skilled industrial workers, the institution initially focused on welding training programs designed to meet national and international industry standards. Through practical-based learning methods, experienced instructors, and industry-oriented training systems, Kampuh Indonesia quickly gained recognition as a professional welding training center capable of preparing highly competent workers for the manufacturing, construction, offshore, and shipbuilding sectors.
In 2016, the institution officially evolved into Kampuh Welding Indonesia as part of its strategic transformation to strengthen its specialization in professional welding services and industrial workforce development. Under its new identity, Kampuh Welding Indonesia expanded its training programs, industrial partnerships, and certification preparation services for welders across Indonesia. Alongside its training division, the company also established a material testing laboratory division to support industrial quality control and technical inspection services. The laboratory provides various testing services, including tensile testing, hardness testing, impact testing, and chemical composition analysis in accordance with national and international standards, further strengthening the institution’s role within Indonesia’s industrial sector.
Continuing its expansion, the organization established Kampuh Academy Indonesia in 2021 as a dedicated industrial education and competency development center. Kampuh Academy Indonesia focuses on professional training programs for Welding Inspectors, Welding Supervisors, Welding Engineers, Welders, Pipe Fitters, Plate Fitters, and various occupational safety and technical industrial fields. Supported by industry-standard workshops, hands-on training systems, and modern facilities, Kampuh Academy Indonesia has become one of the leading industrial training centers trusted by national and international companies in developing highly skilled technical professionals.
In 2022, the organization further strengthened its contribution to Indonesia’s workforce development sector through the establishment of LSP Perkapalan, a professional certification body officially licensed by Indonesia’s National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP). LSP Perkapalan serves as a standardized competency assessment center offering multiple certification schemes in both welding and non-welding sectors, including SMAW, FCAW, GMAW, GTAW, fitting, hull construction, outfitting, and other industrial technical competencies. The institution plays a significant role in ensuring Indonesian workers possess nationally recognized competencies that meet global industrial requirements and competitiveness standards.
In 2025, the organization broadened its industrial training ecosystem through the establishment of Kampuh Teknik Madani, focusing on training programs beyond welding, including fitter, scaffolding, construction, fabrication, painting, and other industrial workforce development sectors. Subsequently, in 2026, all business units were officially integrated under the name Kampuh Group, consisting of Kampuh Welding Indonesia, Kampuh Laboratory, Kampuh Academy Indonesia, LSP Perkapalan, and Kampuh Teknik Madani. To date, Kampuh Group has successfully graduated more than 8,000 certified welders who are actively working and competing in industries across the world. Through its continuous commitment to industrial education, certification, and workforce development, Kampuh Group has emerged as one of Indonesia’s prominent industrial training and certification institutions contributing to the advancement of globally competitive Indonesian human resources.
