Nanning, China — October 25, 2025
The 18th Asian Welding Technology & Applications Forum officially began today at the Guangxi Technological College of Machinery, uniting experts, educators, and industry leaders from across Asia to explore the latest developments in welding technology and applications.
The one-day event, organized under the framework of the Asian Welding Federation (AWF), serves as a collaborative platform to strengthen partnerships, share innovations, and discuss the technological progress shaping the future of welding in Asia and beyond.
The forum opened with welcoming remarks from the AWF President, followed by representatives of the Chinese Welding Society (CWS), China Welding Association (CWA), and Nanning Welding Association. Their addresses emphasized the importance of unity and knowledge exchange among Asian nations to ensure that welding professionals remain competitive in the rapidly evolving global industry.
Throughout the day, participants attended a series of technical sessions, discussions, and presentations that highlighted innovation in welding automation, sustainability, new materials, and digital transformation in manufacturing. The forum also provided opportunities for networking and collaboration between educational institutions, certification bodies, and industrial partners.
The event concluded with a shared commitment from all participants to continue promoting skill excellence, standardization, and innovation under the vision of “Empowering Asia’s Welding Future.”
As the 18th Forum drew to a close, it reinforced AWF’s role as a unifying force — connecting people, technology, and ideas across the region to build a stronger and more advanced welding community for the future.
